This department is poised at rounding off the year by bringing minimum of 5000 children together every 26th December to celebrate them, provide free medicals, back to school items as well as feed them and give gifts.
This event is organised to make the children feel special and also not allow their circumstances rob them of the Yuletides enjoyment. It’s a way of bringing together all our volunteers across the country to celebrate with them.
This is handled by the Black Diamonds Support Foundation headquarters which is in Lagos and been supported by all zones.
In 2016, the event was held at a space provided for us in Ajegunle and the kids were quite entertained and had loads of fun. We gave out Christmas gifts and clothes, conducted malaria tests and treated the sick children.
In 2017, we made use of the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos and we invited kids across seven (7) slums. We had Santa Claus in attendance giving out Christmas gifts, education & social games, back2school items and also picked 10 kids across the invited slums for educational sponsorship.
In 2018, we used same venue as the Project 5000 kids 2017, had a party for the kids, medical care and gave out back2school packs, We hosted some kids with special needs as BDSF is an inclusive NGO without any form of discrimination.
In 2019, we used same venue in Lagos, with activities such as free medical checkup and drug administration, dancing competition between the children. Santa Claus handed out gifts to the children as given to us by our sponsors, Peak Milk and Rites Foods Nigeria.
On the 26th of December, 2020, we shall be bringing over 5000 kids together to celebrate and also provide free medical and school materials for them. Partner with us by contacting us below
At Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos on the 26 of December 2019, We provided free medical checkup & drug administration for the kids. We fed them, we also had dancing competitions and other games between the children. Santa Claus handed out gifts items to the children from our Sponsors. New bespoke dresses were specially made for the BDSF princesses in various communities.
We provided opportunities for kids at Community Nursery & Primary School, Eleyin Isanlu-Isin, Kwara State, to have free back-to-school packs and lots of goodies, through one of our selfless and energetic volunteers, Adekunle Ogungbile, a serving Corp member.
At Dutse Apo, Abuja on Children’s Day we showed love to over 500 indigent kids. The beautiful children had fun and displayed their dance steps and cash prize was given to the best dancer.
At the IDP camp in Ogida quarters, on 22nd pf December we had a Christmas party for 1000Kids, and close to 2000kids were in attendance. We gave out Back2School packs, clothes, food, drinks and gifts to the kids andmade the fun December a reality for these kids in the little way we could.
At Obosi, Anambra State on 26th of December we celebrated Black Diamonds Foundation Project1000Kids party with lots of food, drinks, free clothing, games and other freebies. . We gave out Back2School packs, clothes and goodies.
