Imagine looking at your child starving and yet there is little or nothing you can do rather than hope. For countless destitute families, this is a grim reality. At Black Diamonds Support Foundation, we aim to provide food, portable drinking water, housing, educational needs and much more to the poorest of the poor. We do our best to meet the needs of the poor physically, psychologically and spiritually as well as that of the individual, their family and also their immediate community.

#reachingtheslums exists to end childhood hunger. We believe that everyone can work together to create a world where no child goes to bed hungry. With right and adequate partnership, we can meet the urgent physical needs of indigents by providing food, taking action in communities worldwide and creating long-term solutions for clean water, medical care and education.

We aim to feed hungry kids all over Nigeria In communities with oppressive poverty, we aim to bring hope and real help. #reachingtheslums gives kids the chance to learn again, help students stay in school by providing them with backpacks full of school supplies and personal care items for families who can’t afford them.

People don’t function well when they are hungry, and children struggle to learn when their stomach is growling. That’s why we must address the root causes of hunger before changing anything.

Families in Nigeria who can’t afford food also can’t afford other non-food essentials. While a lack of good food causes poor health, lack of essentials has effects that are indirect, but still harmful.

Below are some of what we aim to do at #ReachingtheSlums

• Providing food at slum schools once a week,
• Implementing the milk distribution program and free medical care
• By constructing boreholes for portable water
• Liaising with tailors to sew decent clothes for these kids.
• Enrolling as many children as possible in schools through our scholarship scheme.
• Starting up vocational centres to train adults from these slums.
• Renovations of dilapidated clinics and building new ones where necessary.
• Building Housing facilities for runaway kids and kids freed from trafficking and child labour
